The founder father of ELAUT nv/sa, Achiel VERSTRAETEN, was the first in 1969 to manufacture a crane mechanism with three motors on an independent mechanism which has been internationally patented.
The manufacturing and distribution of crane-based coin-operated amusement machines has been for many years Elaut's most important business.
These crane machines originally developed for the carnival-circuit in Europe, found their way to the US and the rest of the world.
By now Elaut is considered to be the world market leader for this specific product.
