R3 Interactive was formed in early 1999. Two Australian companies, BMB Entertainment and Zero Gravity Entertainment identified an opportunity in the growing Arcade Redemption Game market. Drawing on their combined talents, they formed R3 Interactive Pty Ltd.
The goal of R3I is to concentrate on developing high end video redemption games commencing with the Stanley series of games. The Stanley series of Redemption games are aimed at a broad age group. Offering simple, fun gameplay, and exciting and humorous animated sequences, the series is already attracting great interest from players and operators alike.
The aim is to develop PC based Arcade games for the coin-op industry that offer the operator a cheap alternative to operating and providing high end games to any location. The operator buys a cabinet once and is able to change the game in the cabinet as easily as changing a CD.
The Stanley series of games would mark a step up in the Coin-Operation Industry by offering greater quality and innovative animated sequences. They would also feature for the character 'Stanley', who would go on to being the benchmark character for R3I's series of games. Stanley is a fun and instantly identifiable fellow, who throughout the series of games will find himself in all kinds of unusual and humorous situations.
