Bandai Namco Games and the Nintendo affiliated The Pokemon Company have teamed up for a new Pokemon arcade release - Pokken Tournament.
Officially announced last week (August 26) during a Famitsu event, the game is a mash up of playable Pokemon characters and Tekken game play. That's right, leave the trainers at home and play as all your favourite fighting Pokemon in 1vs1 game play.
Players will be able to perform various techniques based off the characters moves from the Pokemon series, such as Special Moves and Mega Evolutions.
Only three characters have been announced so far, including: Lucario, Machamp, and Blaziken. The video below (sourced from the Official Pokemon Company Youtube channel) shows Machamp and Lucario in action, as a small taste of what the latest release in the Pokemon franchise has to offer.
It will be some time before we see this out West, as so far it is only planned for release in 2015 - Japan only. However, apparently there are international release dates and console ports yet to be announced.
