The Walking Dead Pro Pinball Machine
Stern Pinball Inc., releases their The Walking Dead Pro and Limited Edition pinball machines and has announced their availability. Inspired by the hugely popular AMC television drama of the same title, the newest Stern game brings the hit series to life on the pinball playfield.
AMC’s The Walking Dead is the most watched series among Adults 18-49 and it is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics. The drama tells the story of the months and years after a zombie apocalypse.
Stern’s pinball editions to the growing franchise features everything fans would want in a flesh-eating pinball world in which players must fight to survive alongside series icon, Sheriff Rick Grimes - battling zombies and completing game missions.
"I love to shoot The Walking Dead playfield. The shots are great, and the ramps are smooth. Included among the mechanical devices and toys are a “Cell Block C” with cell doors that are bashed to open, then a Walker bash head inside, “Well Walker” bash toy, a playfield magnet, 3 bank drop target, a shot lane returning the ball to the shooter, custom molded Walker characters, decaled cabinet and speaker panel, and more. We have designed a new and reliable star rollover switch, always a favorite in past games. And of course all the playfield lighting is LED’s," said Gary Stern, Chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball.
The game includes multiple zombie toys and familiar locations from the show such as the Prison and Cell Block C. The pinballs have a brilliant high-definition, zombie-filled art package that heightens the player’s excitement and will have fans of the show and pinball wanting to play again, and again.
The Limited Edition (LE) version of the game offers unique special effects such as a fish tank with illuminated sculpted zombie heads and a motorized crossbow assembly that allows playersto launch the ball anywhere in the game. The LE mirrored back glass with exclusive art adds to the dynamic pinball experience.
