Naomi 2 - Born to be Wild!
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd will hold a worldwide exclusive launch of their stunning new motorcycle pursuit game – Wild Rider at the ATEI show in January.

Housed in the Naomi Universal driving cabinet, the game is based around the player taking on the role of a hooligan member of a biker gang who is on the run from the police. The player gets involved in a high-speed pursuit through a cityscape having to avoid capture by the police.

Push down or pull up on the innovative motorbike handlebars and the player can make the bike jump over bridges and slide under barriers and articulated trucks. There are four characters to choose from and a choice of routes to take along the way. Time your slides and jumps to perfection and the gap between you and the police will increase. Time them wrong and you run the risk of crashing and being caught. Get to your destination ahead of the police and move on to the next stage.

Sega Amusements Europe Ltd, Sales Director – Paul Williams commented "This is a cracking, fast paced, fun game which builds on the success of Crazy Taxi, but using a motorcycle instead of a Taxi. The colours and brightness of the graphics are awesome making it a video game unlike any other in the market. The power of the Naomi 2 board is phenomenal and we are all really excited about some of the new games that we have seen in development based on this new platform. In Japan we have seen a promotional video for Naomi 2 which shows some of it's capabilities, one of which was an amphitheatre with 600 characters each moving independently in infinite directions. The amount of detail and expansion of capability that can be gained from Naomi 2 is mind blowing."

The graphics are uniquely based on cartoon visuals and are an explosion of colour and brightness. Wild Rider is the first game to be released using the new Naomi 2 platform, which is four times as powerful as the original Naomi platform. Wild Rider benefits from the 16.77 million colours, 10 million polygons per second and 2,000 M pixels per second gained on the Naomi 2, making the game an optical sensory delight.
