Based on the original musical game "Shakatto Tambourine". Power Up adds new songs, new features and more excitement into this already very entertaining game.

The gameplay is similar to sega's other famous music game "Samba de Amigo". Only instead of players shaking their maracas, they shake a tambourine.

For player unaware of this style of gameplay, you stand on mat at the base of the machine & input your approximate height. When the game starts brightly coloured balls float towards one of 6 tambourine shaped icons. At the exact time the balls hits the tambourine icon the players must shake the tambourine controller in that direction, sensors around the machine will detect the movement/direction of the shake and award either a hit or a miss.

The game features a number of different songs, the tempo of these songs effect the number and speed of the balls on the screen at any one time. At the end of each song the player is awarded a performance grade based on hit/miss ratio and combo strings.
