Street Fighter IV is a fighting game where players fight against enemy fighters over various rounds to become the champion. Players can either play against CPU opponents or can fight their friends in versus mode.

Ultra Street Fighter IV introduces six new stages, a different announcer and five new characters to the Street Fighter IV series. The Ultra version also adds a feature called "Edition Select" which allows players to select different versions of the characters based on their properties in past Street Fighter IV iterations. It also includes the "Double Ultra" option, which makes both of the character's Ultra Combos available simultaneously, at the cost of them doing reduced damage.
