Online Games for Visually Impaired
All inPlay has announced that it will be exhibiting at the 2003 conventions of the American Council of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind, where All inPlay will debut its second accessible online game. The new title will complement the company's popular poker game, which has garnered widespread praise throughout the community.
All inPlay will have a booth in the convention exhibit halls where attendees will be invited to try both its new title and the Poker game.
"By and large, the blind just aren't used to having this kind of opportunity," said Tim Keenan, director of public relations and accessibility, himself totally blind. "The convention will be a great place for people to come and see just how powerful the concept of online games that are equally playable by the blind and sighted truly is."
"As our new name implies, our mission is to bring the fun and social nature of online games to as many people as possible - blind and sighted, young and old, in the United States and around the world," said Paul Silva, cofounder and lead designer. "In our new title, I think we've found a game that will appeal to everyone, from the eight-year-old sighted child to their 60-year-old blind grandfather. The new release truly embodies All inPlay's mission, and has the potential to revolutionize recreation for the blind."
