Mega Trax has announced plans to expand the distribution network of Mega Trax mobile slot car racing systems to include the US and UK markets, following success of the systems in the Australian market. These fully mobile racing systems are hand manufactured from highly durable polystyrene and fibreglass and decorated in real terracotta, sandstone and crushed marble.
The tracks are permanently set up in a trailer base, simple to operate and ideal for personal use or as a mobile amusement hire business. Mega Trax manufacturer Matt Young is confident the systems will be as successful overseas as they have proven to be in Australia. "People buy Mega Trax and hire it out for private birthdays, clubs and associations," Mr Young said. "All an operator needs to do is back the trailer in, take the tarp off the, put the cars on the track and let his or her paying customers race," he said.
The systems are currently available in two themes, alpine and desert. The alpine theme features 100 model pine trees and crushed marble as snow, and the desert theme comes with sand and boulder gravel. The electronics package for the system includes variable voltage to control the speed of the cars and multi directional two-way racing with super responsive dynamic braking.
