AmEx 2004 - The 25th Irish Amusement Trade Exhibition & Seminars will be held on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 March 2004 at the Lynch Green Isle Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin. Opening hours will be from noon to 7 pm Tuesday and 6pm Wednesday. The 25th anniversary of the show will be marked by a number of special events, to be announced in the coming months. Ninety percent of AmEx 2003 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in the 2004 event and there is already a waiting list of companies seeking space. On show will be a selection of amusement, gaming, novelty and redemption equipment, all of which continue to play an important role in the fast growing Irish coin-op market. Jukeboxes, pool tables, touchscreen games, pushers, cranes, kiddie rides, pinball, vending machines, currency handling equipment, spares and accessories will all be presented by exhibitors.
In spite of many broken promises from successive Governments in relation to updating the 1956 Gaming & Lotteries Act, the Irish amusement industry has survived, bringing much needed amusement, leisure and entertainment facilities to Irish people and visitors alike. The ongoing deregulation of the UK gaming industry will have an effect on the trade in Northern Ireland and some exhibitors will show equipment suitable for this market. Visitors from all over Ireland and further afield will be presented with a selection of equipment to suit their every need. In addition to the exhibition there will be a full programme of seminars, meetings, business presentations and social gatherings, continuing the show's reputation for bringing together Irish and international manufacturers, distributors and operators in a businesslike atmosphere.
