Namco Announces European Exclusive Deal for Global VR's Need for Speed
Namco Europe has strengthened its portfolio of exclusive distribution deals with the addition of Need For Speed. Making its European debut on the company's stand at the London Preview 2004 exhibition, the new driving simulator from Global VR is being marketed in Ireland by Brent Sales and in mainland Europe by Namco.
Namco's International Business Development Manager, Kjeld Erichsen commented: "Namco Europe has exclusive European distribution rights on the entire range of Global VR products. We have enjoyed tremendous success with their virtual reality simulators, such as the Vortek V3, and look forward to helping Global gain more market penetration with Need For Speed, Beach Head 2000 Pup and Last Bounty Hunter, another new release unveiled at Preview."
A compact, high octane, street racing sit-down driver, Need For Speed features fully licensed cars including a BMW Z8, Jaguar XKR Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper GTS, Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R and Lotus Elise, to name but a few. Unsurpassed graphics, force feedback steering and six-speaker surround sound all contribute to a full throttle experience as players cruise the masterfully designed courses, looking out for fun off-road shortcuts. Built on PC technology, Need For Speed is fully upgradeable and is linkable up to four cabinets.
