Photo Play Releases Game Version of Popular TV Show
One of Holland's most popular TV shows, "One Against Hundred," will be launched as a game on Photo Play terminals this month, and players will have the opportunity to qualify for casting on the TV show.

"It's an entirely new generation of interactive entertainment that we are launching here in Holland," said Marco Huter, Funworld Ag's sales & marketing executive. The concept for the game, which combines the TV and game terminal platforms, was developed jointly by JvH Holland and Endemol - one of the world's largest media and entertainment enterprises.

Operators can obtain the "One Against Hundred" games updates, which will be played in Dutch MASTERS tournaments on linked Photo Play terminals. All operators who purchase the games update will receive a promotions kit containing videos, accompanying advertising pages on DVD and a poster.

By answering questions correctly and by a clever employment of jokers, players will be able to eliminate all 100 fictional opponents. "During each round of the tournament ten casting options for the real TV show will be raffled amongst the Photo Play players," said Mr Huter.

Endemol manager Unico Glorie said, "To have our most successful games show played on Photo Play terminals is a logical development in an era of integrated media."

Frank Kastelijns, CEO of JVH gaming, is confident that the outcome of this venture will be positive. "JVH gaming and Funworld are both on the constant lookout for innovations that can make the games concept, Photo Play, even more attractive for players. That is why this cooperation is a straight forward link. Endemol is Dutch TV's greatest entertainment programmes' operator and Photo Play is market leader of entertainment terminals in public areas. I see this project as a key to continuing success."

The cooperation with Endemol will be beneficial for the entire games terminal industry; operators will be able to generate players with innovative contents, media enterprises can contact their target groups directly via the Photo Play terminals and see themselves represented within their own game and players will accept themselves as a community and will be a part of an attractive event in the process.
