Golden Tee Fore 2005 Update Set for March Release
Incredible Technologies reconfirmed today that their long-term plans for the Golden Tee franchise, first announced in April 2003, are still on track and on schedule. "Incredible Technologies is committed to keeping Golden Tee, ITNet and machine operators profitable, and we are in it for the long haul," said Elaine Hodgson, IT's president and CEO. "We have not deviated from this promise."
In March 2004, the annual full course update, the Golden Tee Fore 2005 will ship. Pricing will be in line with the last few years, and the popular interest-free payment plans will again be offered. The update will consist of 7 all-new 18-hole courses, with all the visual spectacle and game play challenge players have come to expect. The two EXtra courses are not a part of this update, but the EXtra add-on can be installed on both 2004 and 2005 versions. If EXtra is already installed on 2004, the EXtra courses will remain on the game after 2005 is installed.
Prices on dedicated Golden Tee Fore games have been substantially reduced as a commitment to providing the best value to operators. The first ever course add-on, Golden Tee EXtra, began shipping in September and has helped keep earnings up during the slower fall months. The add-on is available now and adds two new courses and a boost in earnings to current Golden Tee Fore 2004 games. Over half of the online machines across the country have already installed the player-friendly new courses, with extremely encouraging results.
Monthly ITS Tournaments started in 1995 and continue to attract players and boost cashboxes significantly. Starting in January the prize structure will be adjusted to offer more cash prizes and more winners than ever before, making it easier than ever to win.
"We have set the standard for tournament play and are raising the bar once again," said Scott Morrison, IT's tournament director. "We want more players than ever to compete and win in the premier coin-op tournament system, and with more prizes in all ITS divisions it will be easier than ever for new players to post a winning score, and rewarding repeat players more frequently."
The new prize format will offer more than 5500 winners and over $230,000 every month. Tournaments will continue on the 2004 courses through May, and the first tournaments on the 2005 courses will begin in June 2004.
The new Golden Tee will be on an all-new, cutting-edge hardware platform and offer revolutionary features and game formats while still retaining the player appeal it's famous for. This revolutionary project is scheduled to reach the streets in late fall of 2004.
When the new version of Golden Tee is released, it will be offered in an all-new dedicated cabinet as well as a reasonably priced conversion kit. The conversion kit will be designed to convert an existing dedicated Golden Tee cabinet into the all-new version of Golden Tee. Even though the new platform is designed for high-resolution graphics, all current monitors in existing Golden Tee Fore cabinets will work with the new hardware platform.
