The recent opening of two new casinos in the UK - the Casino Sol Central in Northampton and the Harbour House Casino in Southampton has resulted in increased demand for CEW International's products.
Northampton's Casino Sol Central opened on November 20 2003 with 14 tables provided by CEW International. The company also provided the casinos layouts barrier stands and accessories and a number of games including American Roulette, assorted Blackjack and 3 Card Brag.

pictured at Northampton) said, "This is our first order from Gala and to be sure that they receive long life for their layouts we used the Perfection cloth that is hard wearing, stain and burn resistant and we feel performs better than other cloths available."
"Also the tables are unusual as they are square and this provided another challenge in that they needed a larger layout than normal. Along with the split leg tables this made for an interesting challenge but we delivered and installed ready for the opening night," Mr Shaw said.
An independent casino, the Southampton Harbour House Casino opened recently with the licence previously owned by the Silhouette Casino in Southampton, which had burned down some years ago leaving the city with only two operating casinos. Ex-employee of the Silhouette, Razmik (Raz) Gharibian and a local businessman Patrick Trant, jointly own the Harbour House. The Harbour House Casino features a 12 table gaming floor with tables, accessories, cards and chips supplied by CEW International.
Mr Shaw said, "Raz was recommended to use CEW by an existing client and he and Patrick Trant approached me at ICE 2003 with a specific need and look for their new venture."
"We worked closely with Raz, Interior Designer Chris Dove and others to ensure that the latest new UK independent had the desired look and feel," he said.
Mr Shaw said the tables are polished wood with H legs and feature specially designed cushioned rails in the croupier position to make for a more comfortable working environment. He said FX cloth was used for the layouts to give a long working life and have been produced in traditional green to blend in with the design of the venue.
