Global Payment Technologies, Inc. (GPT), manufacturer of paper currency validators and stackers, noted positive reactions to its Aurora and Freefall products at the 2003 Eelex trade show.

GPT said that Eelex 2003 was by far the most professional since the inception of the show and also a barometer of the massive potential still potent in the East European gaming and amusement markets.

According to GPT, Aurora was the target of many who visited the GPT stand, due to the product's acceptance of large denomination bills accross a wide range of European countries, its competitive price and reliability.

GPT also introduced the Freefall, the worlds first laser operated coin mechanism for gaming, at the 2003 Eelex show.

Following GPT's recent announcement of a distribution agreement with Freefall's manufacturer Digitall - Eelex was the first outing with a GPT branded product.

Freefall offers unparalleled accuracy and speed of coin handling, utilising leading technology from Honeywell and Taos. Primarily for the gaming market, Freefall can handle coins, tokens and chips through up to 24 channels giving increased flexibility and an incredible ten coins per second handling speed.

Commenting on the show, GPT's Robert Dunn said, "We knew Aurora was popular and the show confirmed this for us but Freefall was an unknown quantity. The reaction from a market that is supposed to go for the "cheap" option was incredible and shows that the market is maturing and reliability is becoming the watchword."
