FX Simulation Announce U2 Mirage - New Cabin Design

FX Simulation has announced the new, improved design of the U2 Mirage simulator - pictured, which features a liftable front windscreen to allow for access to the rear of the television and cockpit instruments.

The black windscreen will be fitted to the silver cockpits on all simulators manufactured from January onwards. The first appearance of the new style will be at ATEI on FX Simulation's stand 1930, next to Pizza Express.

The final design for the graphics has not yet been finalised but will incorporate the previous graphics design into the new windshield. The finished design will of course be on the simulator at ATEI.

Manging Director John Fleming said, "We have been working on a few new ideas recently and this is just the first of them."

"We are looking forwards to showcasing our improvements at ATEI, we will have a static capsule mounted on a frame so that people can see the inside of the capsule. It is often never seen because the simulator is very busy with people constantly entering and exiting the capsule."
