Elo TouchSystems Introduces New 19in LCD Rear Mount

Elo TouchSystems, Inc., the global leader in touch technology and a business unit of Tyco Electronics, has announced a new 1947L 19in Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) rear mount gaming touchmonitor. The 1947L expands Elo's existing family of 12, 15, 17 and 18in LCD rear mount gaming touchmonitors that feature Elo's IntelliTouch or SecureTouch surface wave technologies. All of Elo's gaming touchmonitors are available with a unique injectionmoulded minibezel and waterresistant seal.

"The new 1947L 19in LCD rear mount touchmonitor is the latest addition to Elo's family of chassis LCD gaming touchmonitors," said Mike Sigona, Elo's European marketing manager. "Like the 12 to 18in products, the 1947L has a longerlasting product cycle because the enclosure is controlled by Elo's design specifications. This means that future panel upgrades are possible without external changes." According to Sigona, Elo now offers touchmonitors for bingo, lottery, POS, casino loyalty kiosks and casino management applications.

"Elo's 1947L 19in LCD gaming touchmonitor also includes wider viewing angles - of 170° vertical by 170° horizontal - to attract more players," said Mr Sigona. Commenting on the larger screen size, Mr Sigona said, "The larger display grabs the player's attention while continuing to maintain the graphic quality and clarity necessary to provide bigger buttons and input icons."

In keeping with the family features, the new 1947L 19in LCD rear mount gaming touchmonitor offers a multilingual onscreen display (OSD) and worldwide agency approvals. "Like all of Elo's gaming touchmonitors, the 1947L features a wiperblade seal integrated into the bezel," said Mr Sigona. The wiperblade seal provides a level of protection against water drops, dirt and cigarette ash and features rounded corners for easy cleaning.
