The release of the M170 Monitor marks the expansion of 3M's family of LCD touch products to meet the increasing demand for differentiated touch input solutions required by a growing number of application segments.

The M170 Touch Monitor's design puts focus on touch stability, display quality, and a feature set that allows it to perform consistently across multiple application segments, including retail, kiosk, and certain areas in healthcare.
The "unified strut" display support mechanism delivers exceptional touch stability while aesthetically enhancing the product. A patent-pending display adjustment and locking mechanism located in the monitor base is simple to use, and ensures a fixed, rigid display angle is maintained during use. The display angle is adjustable from five degrees beyond the vertical to a full 90 degrees off vertical (parallel with mounting surface). This allows the display to be mounted to horizontal or vertical surfaces without modification, disassembly, or third-party hardware.
The M170 Touch Monitor employs a unique peripheral attachment system that allows the seamless attachment of a host of peripherals, including magnetic stripe card and fingerprint readers. The M170 Touch Monitor utilizes a high quality, active matrix TFT LCD display that delivers 400 nit brightness and a 450:1 contrast ratio, ensuring maximum image quality. An auto-detecting DVI-I video input connection receives both analogue and digital video signal. Other features include hardware-lockable on-screen-display controls, fully concealed cable connections, cable management, a base-enclosed power supply and full multi-media capability. The M170 Touch Monitor ships with power, video and touch cables fully attached to the monitor. No assembly of cables to the monitor is required for implementation.
