Last Round of TAB Austria's World Championship
TAB Austria's first World Championship using the unique Online Tournament System has reached its last round and will come to a close on 29 February 2004.
According to TAB Austria, players have been participating in the competition enthusiastically, with the added incentive of the terrific prizes.
First prize is a a 19-day world trip for two persons, with other prizes including a DVD writer, Digicam, and Palm Zire. The popularity of the competition was highlighted with more than 750,000 tournament starts. Some terminals have already registered more than 16,000 starts and the enormous run is still continuing. There are more than 1,000 terminals where players can compete to win first prize and be named the best player worldwide.
Each individual terminal has recorded a high income during the competition, again marking the popularity of the World Championship.
Managing Director of TAB Austria, Ing. Siegfried Dattl jun. said, "The tournament is drawing to a close and I am overwhelmed by this success. Our goal is to organise more successful and attractive tournaments in the future."
