ASI Show Final Figures Released
The Amusement Showcase International (ASI) show organisers last week released the final figures for the 2004 show which brought 133 exhibiting companies to Las Vegas, occupying a total of 421 booths. Total registration was 3,622, with the total buyer registration up 5%. The show ran from Tuesday, March 9 through Thursday, March 11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall C4.
"In speaking with exhibitors, the overall impression of the show was very optimistic. With the increased number of buyers at this year's show, exhibitors are feeling very confident about their future sales," said Frank Cosentino, AAMA Chairman.
Exhibitors also introduced more new and innovative products at the 2004 ASI Show than in past years, which added much value to the show overall. AAMA President Mike Rudowicz said, "ASI 2004 was a very successful show in every way. It proved to be an excellent selling opportunity for exhibitors, and attendees found a show with many different and exciting products to view."
AAMA took pleasure at the 2004 ASI Opening Ceremony rewarding Morris Piha, who has dedicated 60 years to the coin-op industry, with this year's Lifetime Achievement Award. AAMA also presented awards to two companies for their contribution to the coin-operated amusement industry. The Manufacturer and Distributor of the Year Awards are presented to companies who have made outstanding efforts throughout the year. This year's awards were presented to:
Manufacturer of the Year – Merit Industries
Distributor of the Year – Brady Distributing
The Amusement Showcase International will move to the Chicago Hyatt in 2005 on Thursday, March 3 – Saturday, March 5, 2005.
