Digital Centre Hosts Ping Pong Kombat Party
Digital Centre has reported that almost all Spanish amusement companies were present at the Torremolinos show which took place from 31 March to 2 April. During the show Digital Centre hosted a Ping Pong Kombat party at its stand, where visitors were able to enjoy music, disco lights, hostesses and organised games of Table Tennis.
Josep Tarrés, general manager of Digital Centre, said that the company's intention was to have people constantly playing, and enjoying the games. He said that this happened during the show, with people waiting in cues to have their turn to play. The Ping Pong Kombat was Digital Centre's main product for the show, and visitors said they were surprised to see how a fresh, new idea was applied to Table Tennis, a successful and well-known product. The Ping Pong Kombat is not only a Table Tennis game, it is also a vending machine with rackets and balls, which the player is able to keep as souvenirs. The net is elevated and moves down for play when players insert coins.
During the show, Digital Centre team members wore an orange T-shirt, to match the colour of the Ping Pong Kombat table. The two hostesses were giving out paper rackets with the logo and inviting people to play. "It was a hard show, but I think that it was worth all the effort. We really believe in the product and we wanted to prepare something different for the visitors," said Digital Centre team member Ester Egea.
