Capcom Hints at AM Future!
Capcom, one of Japan's few remaining AM factories, has been the subject of much recent speculation in the wake of softer-than-expected financial performance. Now comes confirmation in the form of news that key consumer software studios (that had supported amusement) are closing. A recent statement from Capcom Coin-op Inc. to operators and distributors was mistaken by some for an April Fool's joke. TSR looks at possible suitors for Capcom's AM interests (including Bandai) and other prospects for this troubled company.
UK Troc New Lease of Life
Europe's premier video amusement site is at the centre of major changes, seeing the possibility of a new cashless payment system to increase revenue, a major casino project proposal, the organisation of the largest European championship for players and links to the opening of the largest location based entertainment attraction unit in this central London venue, the first LBE concept to receive European placement since the crash in support of this entertainment concept. All this at the same time as SEGA's embryonic amusement theme park facility receives two new attractions.
