Entertainment Technology Corporation (EnTCo), a wholly owned subsidiary of Environmental Tectonics Corporation, today announced its first international installation of Wild Earth: African Plains at Britain's top free tourist attraction, Pleasure Beach, Blackpool. Wild Earth will arrive in Blackpool early July 2004 to become an integral part of the attractions found at the Pleasure Beach. This attraction will offer guests the opportunity to get ever closer to the wonders and thrills of an African Safari. The Wild Earth experience will make adults feel like children again, the ongoing mission of the Pleasure Beach.

There is something for everyone at the Pleasure Beach. Not only are there over 145 rides and attractions, there is internationally acclaimed, award winning, live entertainment, as well as a feast of restaurants, cafés and bars alongside themed retail shops. This quality entertainment brings over six million visitors to the Pleasure Beach annually. Geoffrey Thompson, Managing Director of the Pleasure Beach, said, "The Wild Earth ride is the first of its kind in Europe and we are delighted to be able to bring the thrill and excitement of this virtual reality experience to our visitors. Pleasure Beach is renown for its exhilarating and innovative rides and this is yet another 'first' to add to our repertoire".

In Wild Earth, guests will discover the thrill and excitement of an African experience and marvel at the array of wildlife and rich landscapes of the Serengeti. The physically modeled animation offers a kaleidoscope of images and memories never to be forgotten. In EnTCo's simulator, two riders (a driver and a photographer) sit securely in the truck-themed capsule to experience this fully interactive photo safari. The simulator features three axes of motion (pitch, roll and heave) that provide a one-of-a-kind, physical, thrilling and educational experience at the driver's control. In Wild Earth, the riders are in full control, navigating the vehicle through the stunning landscapes of Africa on a quest for that "perfect picture". Dr. Roger Macklin, Director of European Sales for EnTCo, said, "We are very excited to be providing the Pleasure Beach with the Wild Earth ride. We believe that it will add another dimension of interaction for the visitors at Blackpool and will help to maintain the Pleasure Beach as a quality premier park with leading edge entertainment for all the family".
