Photo Play Attracts Attention in Finland
This year's Photo Play Spring Tour in Finland attracted the attention of almost 6,500 players – with 51 per cent of these players confirmed newcomers to the series of games. The Photo Play Spring tour, organised by Finnish partner Pelika Net Oy, ran from late February to early April 2004, with promotional beauties touring cafes, pubs, bars, events and fairs throughout the country, to introduce and attract possible new players to Photo Play games. This summer, the promotional team will also attend such festivals as the Pori Jazz Festival and the Neste Rally Finland.
Finland seems to be one of Photo Play's blossoming markets, as Funworld Ag has said its cooperation with the country's largest private TV station MTV 3 has been extremely positive – citing the massive success of the Hockey Night Quiz. The Hockey Night Quiz was advertised on the station as a part of a daily hockey transmission every evening throughout the ice hockey season, and according to Funworld, developed into a hit with a total of 180,000 games played throughout the season. The Quiz will be re-launched in autumn with brand new questions.
Funworld Ag's sales and marketing officer Marco Huter said he is convinced of the value of these promotions. "With our unique mix of design and positive game contents, we doubtlessly provide the best requisites for strong and prominent cooperation with partners such as TV stations. In turn, these partners can transmit us directly to an interesting mass audience. That is a base which both partners can only gain from," Mr Huter said.
