SNAP! Poised to Provide Revenue to Shrinking NZ Slot Market
uWink, Inc., an innovative technology-based ENcommerce (entertainment commerce) company, today announced that Auckland, New Zealand-based SkillGames Ltd. has initiated purchases of uWink SNAP! counter-top entertainment terminals. After several months of testing, SkillGames management has concluded that SNAP! will provide significant replacement revenue for New Zealand pubs and other public gathering places that are presently suffering from the loss of slot machine income due to a change in local law regulating the placement of gaming machines. Under the terms of an exclusive distribution agreement, SkillGames has committed to significant monthly deliveries of SNAP! and is planning innovative, country-wide tournament promotions to help maximise sales and stimulate play.
Terminals are being sold to operators in public facilities such as restaurants, bars and betting parlors throughout the country. To date, there are very few counter-top machines in New Zealand.
