Photo Play Shows Its Olympic Spirit
As the 2004 Olympic Games draw near, Photo Play will show its Olympic spirit at the end of this month when it launches Athletics, a new 3D game, on its online terminals. Athletics will be launched on 30 July 2004 and invites players to successfully complete three athletics disciplines - long jump, hurdle run and throwing - within a filled sports stadium. Markus Gurlitt, Fun.net International Manager said Athletics is a further development of Tennis, one of Photo Play Xtreme's most successful 3D games. He said, "To give the whole game the appropriate Olympic kick, the game can first be played in the form of a net game." Mr Gurlitt said that from 9 August 2004, players would be able to compare themselves internationally through the Global Masters tournament, which is expected to run in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Finland, Switzerland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Holland, Sweden and Norway. The Athletics Global Masters tournament will be transmitted to Photo Play online terminals free of charge.
