Leisure Link Signs Exclusive Partnership Agreement with Elo
Leisure Link Group (LLG) and Elo TouchSystems, Inc., the global leader in touch technology and a business unit of Tyco Electronics, have signed an exclusive partnership agreement for the supply of touchscreens and touchmonitors for LLG's next generation gaming and entertainment machines. The agreement, which gives Elo TouchSystems exclusive supplier rights for all Leisure Link Group designed machines including digital networked products such as itbox and Wallbox, also covers machines from other LLG companies and partners specifically Maygay Machines and Inspired Technology with whom Leisure Link formed Inspired Broadcast Networks in 2002 to develop the widely acclaimed itbox digital multimedia platform. Leisure Link Group is the UK's largest manager of public space gaming and entertainment machines and has supplied some 90,000 machines to over 25,000 leisure retail venues. The company recently delivered its 10,000th itbox and has purchased some 15,000 Elo TouchSystems monitors to date. The exclusive partnership agreement makes Elo LLG's vendor of choice for touchscreens and touchmonitors. Norman Crowley, CEO, Inspired Broadcast Networks, said, "By partnering with Elo, the itbox network will continue to offer venue owners the most reliable and best of breed out of home entertainment technology available on the market as well as providing consumers with a compelling game play experience."

Clive Barrett, Maygay's Materials Manager commented, "We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Elo TouchSystems, securing access to the world's leading range of touchscreens and touchmonitors. Our past experience of Elo product reliability and responsive service back up gives us the confidence to make this commitment and we expect to deliver a further 15,000 to 25,000 touchscreen based machines over the next 18 months. With Elo TouchSystems as a group partner we will benefit from the company's focus and flexibility." Commenting on the agreement, Mike Sigona, Elo TouchSystems Market Manager, Europe, said, "We are very pleased to have concluded this agreement with the gaming market's leading manufacturing group which will increase our penetration of the out-of-home play market." The partnership agreement is focussed on Elo TouchSystems industry leading IntelliTouch technology and encompasses touchscreens from 12 to 19in. Ideal for gaming applications, Elo's IntelliTouch surface wave touchscreen technology has a precise touch performance that never needs recalibration. Its pure glass construction yields the best possible optics with higher light transmission and less reflection than other touch technologies that use metallic coatings, wires or plastic layers. Notably, Elo's surface wave touch technology does not alter the colours of the original picture.
