IT Appoints Starburst as Exclusive Canadian Distributor
Incredible Technologies (IT) announced today that Starburst Coin Machines, Inc. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has been appointed the exclusive Canadian distributor of Incredible Technologies products, including Big Buck Hunter, Golden Tee Fore!, and its newest sensation, Silver Strike Bowling. "One international partner focused on the marketing and promotion of our products has been a successful business model for us everywhere in the world," said Robert Fay, IT's Vice President of International Sales. "Working exclusively through Starburst is consistent with all of our existing distribution arrangements outside the United States." Starburst Coin Machines is one of the largest distributors of coin-operated amusement equipment in Canada. Founded in 1987 by Len Keywood, Starburst became Canada's authorised representative of the International Tournament System – the network that links Golden Tee and Big Buck Hunter games in online competitive events – in 2001. "We started with NO games online in Canada in February, 2001," said Mr Keywood, Starburst's president. "Now in three short years we have nearly 3,000 games online. We achieved this success by marketing Golden Tee's online features in cross-country seminars and by offering strong technical support for operators. There are Golden Tees in every nook and cranny in this country – and we believe there is room for more!" he said.
"Len Keywood, Gary Walters and the Starburst organisation have had tremendous success in Canada with the International Tournament System and sales of our products," said Elaine Hodgson, President and CEO of Incredible Technologies. "We have great confidence that they will continue to grow and develop new opportunities for Incredible Technologies in the Canadian marketplace, and we expect this relationship to grow even closer with the upcoming release of Golden Tee Live in Canada next year." Richard Ditton, Executive Vice President of Incredible Technologies said, "We are confident that Starburst Coin Machines will continue to work cooperatively with all parties in the Canadian marketplace to see that our products are distributed as widely as possible." Starburst commenced its first business venture in partnership with WG Entertainment in Western Canada this past summer. Located in Burnaby, British Columbia this full-service facility for sales and parts is a joint venture with WG Entertainment (formerly the Winfield Group and Interprovincial Amusements) and Canadian Coin Machine Distributors, Ltd. "This joint venture was created to better serve the needs of operators in Western Canada," said Gary Walters, Starburst's Chief Operating Officer. "We can now offer Western operators a broader product offering, more financing options, and better service and support. We expect this new operation to be very successful. It's just what operators out West have needed."
