Your Way To Victory with Funworld
Funworld has launched its ‘Your Way To Victory' (Dein Weg zum Sieg) promotion in Austria this week, with the company sending its Austrian players 68,000 fun.mails, 2,000 SMS text messages and 40,000 e-mails. Funworld Austria's manager, Herbert Ehmer, said he is convinced the promotion will be a big hit this year, and expects over 500 Austrian outlets to participate, following the success of the Schnapsen championship last year. "Last year's ‘Schnapsen' championship has shown us the great potential such location marketing campaigns have," he said. The ‘Your Way To Victory Promotion' comprises three tournaments that will last until mid-January. To participate, operators need to purchase a promotions package for each Photo Play terminal they wish to enter in the tournaments. Operators then receive four entry cards for the finals, which they can freely distribute to players or regular guests. Also included in the promotional package are posters, stickers, T-shirts, caps and bags. The top 100 players will automatically qualify for the finals at Funworld's headquarters in Schörfling, Upper Austria, to be held on 5 February 2005. The three tournaments include Diamond Eleven, which began on 27 September and will finish on 31 October 2004; Seven, which will go from 1 November to 5 December 2004; and finally, Fun Towers, which will run from 6 December 2004 until 16 January 2005.
