Brent/Namco Takes Charge of Tsunami's Re-Volt Driver
Brent Sales/Namco Europe has secured distribution rights for Re-Volt, a new, fast-moving and compelling spin on the racing genre regarded by many seasoned observers as the best game to come out of U.S. developer Tsunami Visual Technologies. Instead of racing screen replicas of well-known car marques, Re-Volt features high speed, fast action vehicles of the radio-controlled variety. A total of 10 courses (doubling up to 20 in mirror mode) include suburban neighbourhoods, supermarkets, museums and even cruise ships, each with its own unique obstacles and unexpected twists and turns. With options for beginner, intermediate and expert levels, players select from eight cars and tune them to their own specifications, with new vehicles unlocked after each race to a maximum of 22. As well as collecting power-ups and bonus points, players can pick up weapons with which to blow their opponents away. The Single Deluxe format of Re-Volt can be linked up to eight units and features a motion-base moulded seat, force-feedback steering, 33" display and illuminated buttons for firing weapons, along with standard accelerator and brake pedals.
