JPM International strengthened its commitment to the Spanish AWP market by concluding a three-year distribution agreement with Grupo Comatel in December. The agreement was signed in Valencia and ensures the two companies are best placed to take advantage of new Spanish legislation as it rolls out over 2005 and its subsequent impact on the market. Robin Johnson, Chief of Business Development and Director of JPM International, said, "Although the Spanish Market has been slow for some time we now believe the new legislation will reinvigorate the market over the coming years. JPM sees Grupo Comatel as the perfect partner to maximise the business opportunities for JPM machines and titles under these new market conditions." Grupo Comatel's Director Gerente, Fidel Molina said, "Grupo Comatel has had a long association with JPM. I believe the combination of our strong market presence in all Spanish regions and excellent market intelligence along with JPM's innovative and well targeted games will make the Grupo Comatel/JPM International combination a real winner." JPM has a strong pedigree in the Spanish market with such games as Los Magnificos, Olympus Gold and Monopoly plus its latest success, Fast Track. 2005 will see three new titles for the market in both reel and video formats to satisfy demand.
