Funworld Helps Students Prepare for First Trade Show
Funworld Ag in in Schörfling, Upper Austria is acting as partner and advisor to the Gmunden Trade Academy 4a-class students who founded the Baghira Funzone company through which they 'sell' Photo Play terminals to other practice companies. This practice company, formed by the students in accordance with their syllabus, requires them to take charge of the company for several hours each week and handle commercial tasks such as invoicing, marketing and tax declarations. In the middle of March 2005, the various practice companies will meet in Freistadt to attend an International trade fair, where they will be required exhibit for the first time and sell their 'goods' at the fair.
For opening preparations Funworld trade expert, Karin Altenhuber, and the company's public relations manager, Ilse Retzek, spent an afternoon in Gmunden with the students to provide them with recent impressions of the world's largest amusement trade exhibition, the ATEI in London, which had been held two weeks before. The presentation included all essential steps for planning and preparing an exhibition as well as the explanation of details pertaining to the actual staging. Ms Altenhuber, who has just concluded the IMA in Nuremberg and the ATEI London and who is already up to her ears in planning Rimini's ENADA for March, said flexibility and the ability to improvise are fundamental skills along with a good dose of organisational talent. "No matter how well a trade fair is planned in advance, it's impossible avoid something unforeseen happening at the actual location," Ms Altenhuber said.
