Giant Versions of Lighthouse and Stacker Coming Soon
Lighthouse and Stacker will be soon available in giant versions from manufacturer LAI Games, to cater for the requirements of large locations and theme parks. The SD models of skill prize games Lighthouse and Stacker have been dominating the game charts since their release and LAI attributes their popularity to the small footprint which allows operators to fit the games into all kinds of locations. Despite this LAI has recognised the need for the availability of a larger model for larger locations, and it was with this in mind that it developed the giant versions. Alan Freimuth General Manager of LAI said, "There are locations like Multi Cinema complexes, Mega Shopping malls, Theme Parks and large FEC's where size matters and this new bigger version, which is about three times the width of a standard model, will do the job as an attraction and will get players attention." The giant games' biggest advantage is that they will accept much larger prizes than the standard games. The depth of the cabinet is about the same as the SD model, meaning the giant machines will still be able to fit through any door.
Operators of the SD machines are currently using mobile phones, MP3 players, Gameboys and other "in demand" merchandise items as prizes, where the giant machines will be able to dispense Sony Playstations, big remote-control Cars, big plush toys or even coat hangers with the local favorite football club T-shirts. The giant Lighthouse and Stacker prize chutes also feature new secured prize doors that open only to prize winners, an added advantage for unsupervised locations.
