Bandai Considers Namco Acquisition!
Bandai for the second time looks to merging with a major game and amusement factory, but this time the agenda is establishing ownership of Namco. The proposed combined operation would represent the second largest toy-game corporation after the SEGA Sammy Holding group. Deadly Indoor Simulation!
The first customer fatality for a simulator experience at an amusement theme park was recorded by Japan's largest amusement factory in April; rider disability and weight seen as major factors in the SEGA Joypolis accident. Police investigators revealed that an unofficial operational manual was used by park staff, casting doubt on management and raising the possibility of crippling Professional Negligence claims.
