Brent's 'Tour de Force' to Take in 50 Coastal Resorts
Brent Sales will once again be underlining its commitment to the seaside sector with its third Big Truck-Stop Tour. The tour, which is being undertaken by Mick Kennedy and Danny Hester, will see Brent take a 40-tonne articulated lorry complete with an array of the leading coin-op products to upwards of 50 principal resorts throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. If there was any doubt about the importance of the tour, Brent is taking the somewhat unconventional approach of using it to mark the official launch of the Namco street-racing game Maximum Tune 2, whose test income has surpassed that of its highly successful predecessor. Included in the range of products being demonstrated onboard the Brent truck are the highly popular Tekken 5, the new generation pusher PAC-MAN Ball and Taito's prize vending machine Convoy.
The first leg of the six-week tour begins with Mick Kennedy in Ireland (6-10 June), followed by Danny Hester in the North-West and Wales (9-17 June), with Mick returning for the remaining Great British regions of Scotland (20-24 June), the North-East (27 June-1 July), East and South-East (4-8 July), finishing with the South-West (11-15 July). Looking ahead to the tour, Brent's product manager, John Brennan said, "Whilst the tour is primarily about taking product to the coastal sector of the industry, it also allows us to spend time with our customers and discuss the issues that are impacting on their business. The Brent truck has its own power supply so customers can get to grips with all of the products, not least the brand new Maximum Tune 2."
