Wiesbaden Championship Cup Goes to Newcomers
The finals of the second Photo Play Club Championship in Wiesbaden were held on the last weekend in May with the winners' cup awarded to a new club, the 1st PPC Spielothek A7 of Lauingen. Over 350 teams had competed in the Championship with only 14 teams permitted in the finals held at the fun.net headquarters in Wiesbaden, on 28-29 May. Participants included the five best clubs and two new clubs from each of the two semi-finals. The finals began at 10am, however enthusiastic players started arriving from 8am. The winners' cup was presented by Jeanette Biedermann, one of Germany's top teenage music stars. Second place went to the 1st PPC Spielodrom Meerane with 2nd PPC Spielodrom Meerane claiming third place.
