GTI Expo 2005: 45% Increase in Booths
The 2005 edition of GTI Expo set new records in the numbers of exhibitors, booths and visitors with a 45 percent increase in the number of booths compared to last year's show. Present at the 2005 GTI Expo were 115 exhibitors from Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Korea, Japan, the US, the UK, Russia, and Ukraine in addition to the local Taiwan exhibitors. This year saw a 45 percent increase in number of booths from last year's show with a total of 935 booths at the 2005 event. Besides thousands of domestic buyers and visitors in Taiwan, international visitors were attracted to experience the show from Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Guam, Guatemala, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela, Vietnam, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the UK, the US, and UAE.

According to GTI show organisers, GTI Expo's reputation and recognition in the global electronic gaming/amusement industry has continuously improved over the past 11 years because of the expertise of Taiwanese manufacturers and the abundance of products with competitive quality, diversity, and pricing. The total exhibiting area of the show has grown every year, with many companies left on the waiting list for space in the past few editions of the show. GTI Expo 2006 will be held from 7-9 July at B and C Zones, Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center in Taipei, Taiwan. Official reservation for space at the show will open in 2006. The Expo is organised by the Taiwan Amusement Machine Association (TAMA) and the Taiwan Digital Entertainment Association (TDEA) and managed by Game Time International (GTI).
