AmEx 2006 - The 27th Irish Amusement & Gaming Trade Exhibition, will be held at the newly refurbished Lynch Green Isle Hotel, Dublin on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March 2006. September 1 marked the launch of the new facilities, which now include 240 bedrooms and suites, 400 car parking spaces, 40 new syndicate meeting rooms, FREE WiFi access, Sorrels Restaurant and Rosie O'Grady's Bar. The indoor pool and spa will be in operation by the end of the year. A new cafe bar area connects the exhibition halls with the newly extended foyer area, which offers additional exhibition space. Confirmed exhibitors at the beginning of September include Almotech, Amusement Machine Services, Brent Sales, Carnaby Gaming, Cash Automation, Cromptons Leisure, Crown Direct, Electrocoin Sales, Genesis Games, ITM Leisure, J.H.S. Associates, Kimble, Oasis Retail Services, Olympic Sales Bundoran, RSL, Sam Leisure, SB Machines, Scan Coin Ireland, Sound Leisure, Suzo International (UK), The Deith Group, The Novelty Capsule Company, Thomas Automatics and Tobyco.
In addition to the exhibition there will be a full programme of meetings, business presentations and social gatherings, continuing the show's reputation for bringing together Irish and international manufacturers, distributors and operators in a businesslike atmosphere. As 2006 is the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Irish Gaming & Lotteries Act, there is considerable speculation and some hope that the Government will see its way to finally updating the totally outdated 1956 legislation.
