Talarius plc Raises £16,500 for Children's Charity
CHIPs, the charity funded entirely by donations from the gambling industry, has an additional £16,500 ($30,100 / €24,500) to invest in 'children's happiness' thanks to a mammoth fund-raising effort by the staff at Talarius plc.
The money, every penny of which will be used to provide specially constructed, powered wheel chairs to children with a range of disabilities, was presented to CHIPs co-founder Linda Lindsay by a delegation of staff at the company's UK head office.
Commenting on the initiative, Linda Lindsay said, "This is an absolutely wonderful sum of money which will deliver life enriching changes to up to four children and their families. This has been a root and branch initiative which has involved the entire team as well as many of the company's suppliers. Everyone involved has done an amazing job and I am thrilled to accept this most generous donation on behalf of the children that we will be helping."
