Merit launched a number of new products at the recent AMOA Trade Show including the Megatouch ION (Megatouch e.V.o ION pictured left), which features a joystick, wireless Mega-link, a player key for entering special features and full motion video.
Thanks to the equipped joystick, players can experience a better gaming experience. Each Megatouch ION game comes with a player ID key and built in touch spot on the cabinet. The key is used for player registration into TournaMAXX and My Merit. Also Merit is launching the Megatouch Nation worldwide sweepstakes that features a different game each month. Each time a player, using their player key, earns a qualifying score he or she is entered into a $4,000 sweepstakes funded by Merit Entertainment.
Full motion video comes into play on the new ION platform with two new games. Video Whiz is an exciting new version of the classic Merit hit Trivia Whiz and Penthouse Video Boxxi provides exotic Penthouse models in this exclusively licensed content.
Wireless Mega-Link enables multiple machines to be linked together without the hassles of any wires and opens up over 30 linked games to be enjoyed. For locations with a broadband router the ION will also wirelessly connect to the Internet.
Other products included Megatouch Champ Platform, a tool for operators to set up and run their own location-based tournaments and available exclusively in an economical Radion cabinet and Merit MBOX, a wall-mount coin-op Internet Jukebox designed to offer operators a low priced option in the booming digital music market. It offers an eye-catching compact design, powerful sound from a 250-watt amplifier and is backed by the AMI music network.
