Deith Group Raced the Sun and Won!
4 intrepid members of Deith Group - Steve Bryant, Simon Hosken, Leon and Matthew Deith - completed the grooling Race The Sun charity event on 10 September 2005. Taking just 10 hours 39 mins, the team cycled 22 miles (including a mad 5 mile off road, down crazy hill section), scaled Mount Helvellyn, kayaked 5km around Lake Thirlmere and finished off with another 26 miles on their mountain bikes. Taking place were 47 teams, of which they came in 21st first, which is not bad from a bunch of out of shape white collar workers!
Deith Group hope to raise over £4000 for the charity, Action Medical Research, but need the support of the industry to do this. Donations are still being collected up to the middle of November, so if you wish support a very worthy cause, please send your cheques payable to Action Medical Research for Steve's attention the Deith Group office in Reigate;
