Global Status of ATEI & ICE 2006 Trade Shows Rising
According to organisers of the ATEI and ICE trade shows, ATE, the 2006 ATEI is set to become the stage for the most international event in the show's history; whilst at least 23 companies will be making their first appearance within ICE and its i-gaming sector ICEi.
Already this month, 253 companies from 30 nations have confirmed stand bookings for the 2006 ATEI trade show – 117 of which are based outside the UK. The proportion of ATEI's overseas exhibitors currently stands at 46.2 per cent, almost six points higher than the ratio of 40.5 per cent present at the 2005 show, which had exhibitor representation from 28 countries. A key driver in the increased international participation, according to ATE, is the number of new companies signing up for the show. Of the 28 ATEI debutants already booked onto the show floor, 21 are based outside the home nation.
The ICE debutants are drawn from 12 countries including Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Israel, Italy, Russia, Sweden, South Korea, the UK and USA; and will line up alongside the biggest names in gaming and i-gaming, with a combined roster in excess of 180 companies from 30-plus nations. The international make-up of the Earls Court showcase continues to expand; of the 173 companies confirmed at the beginning of October, 119 (68.8 per cent) are from outside the UK, up 5.2 percentage points on the final 2005 ratio.
