Amusement Exhibition Marathon: Part Five
The final stop on the September calendar's marathon. Our show coverage wraps up with a detailed look at TiLE, the Trends in Leisure Entertainment conference and exhibition. The last of the month's shows and conferences, TiLE packed in plenty of events and news. TSR reports on a new motion seat developer, advances in the 3D and 4D market from leading developers (including a brand-new, non-invasive, naturally viewed three-dimensional process), and the creation of a new motion tracking immersive experience for the water park sector. The Stinger also reviews how the show chaos will be addressed for next year's calendar.
Organised - Theme Park - Crime!
Following on from the news of Finger Scanning at Orlando parks, TSR learns of a multi-million dollar criminal activity that involves illegal ticketing and the use of credit card fraud to obtain tickets. Law Enforcement reveals an organised crime spree that sees theme park tickets at their centre and the web of murder and forgery that has forced the theme parks to increase the protection of their ticket entry process. The possibility that this crime will become a growing concern for internal theme park operators is a worry, and the Stinger reveals the way this crime is perpetrated; TSR also reveals a surprising final chapter in the reign of Disney chief Michael Eisner.
