TrioTech wins BDC's Quebec Young Entrepreneur Award & Canada Export Achievement Award
TrioTech Amusement partners Frederic Lachance, David Lachance, and Ernest Yale have earned the Business Development Bank of Canada's (BDC) Young Entrepreneur Award for Quebec. Frederic, David and Ernest were honored at a ceremony in Calgary, Alberta last week, where they were also presented with BDC's Export Achievement Award for Canada for the most outstanding export results.

"We're extremely honored for being recognised for what we've built," said Frederic, President of TrioTech. "There is no equivalent for our company in Canada and we operate in a sector that is virtually unknown in Quebec, but we've shown great growth potential. We're young and we've only touched the tip of what the possibilities are." Chief Technology Officer, Ernest Yale said, "Nothing beats watching people playing our games or enjoying one of our thrill rides, seeing their reactions makes it all worthwhile."

Frederic, David and Ernest combine their complementary skills to run TrioTech. Ernest, a game developer since the age of 12, heads the R&D office in Montreal where he and his team develop software for new products. Frederic designs the actual machines that house the games and theaters, and is responsible for sales and marketing strategy in Lavaltrie. David, VP Operations, uses his technical skills in overseeing the day-to-day operations of manufacturing the units and designing the technology behind the hardware. TrioTech has assembled a team of passionate people who care as much about the company as they do. "If there is anything we're proud of it's our team," Frederic said.

BDC President and CEO Jean-René Halde said Frederic, David and Ernest are examples of the best of Canada's young entrepreneurs. "The energy and commitment with which they run their business have resulted in success for themselves and generated opportunities for others. They have shown that creativity, passion and dedication make for a powerful combination and drive the Canadian economy."

TrioTech has become a leader in manufacturing motion-based platforms for the amusement and coin-op industries and is in full international expansion mode. TrioTech sells its attractions to amusement parks, entertainment centers and arcade operators all over the world and has doubled in exports every year for five consecutive years. TrioTech will be at the IAPPA show at booth #1029.
