Face Place Announce Appointment of Industry Veterans
Face Place LLC has announced the addition of Pete Gustafson as Vice President of Business Development and Frank Becker as Director of Customer Service and Operations.
Mr. Gustafson, a twenty-six year industry veteran, will focus primarily on national accounts and developing new markets for the company. "I'm thrilled with the opportunity to help build this new and extremely promising company as it takes its vision into reality," Mr. Gustafson said. "I joined Face Place because the product, the team, and the market potential are all superb. The photo booth category represents an 'annuity' for the operator, like a crane, because it is a machine that will be on location for many years, earning steadily year in and year out, if the customer appeal and technical reliability are there. The Face Place Photo Booth has these elements in abundance. I have examined the product with a critical eye and find it absolutely clean, well-designed, and nearly bulletproof in concept, construction, and operation. The proprietary technology is both economical and ultra-reliable."
Mr. Gustafson is Treasurer of the American Amusement Machine Association, where he also serves on the Board of Directors. He is Secretary of the American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation. He comes to Face Place from his previous position as National Sales Director for Sega Amusements USA, where he worked for 11 years. Prior to that he was a Sales Representative with Data East Video from 1991 to 1994, and worked with Data East Pinball from 1988 to 1991. Mr. Gusafson also served as technical services manager for Aladdin's Castle (1984 to 1988), and began his amusements industry career at Bally Pinball in 1980 as a field Service Representative.
Frank Becker, boasting twenty-three years of industry experience will oversee operations including manufacturing, technical service, and customer support. Mr. Becker comes to Face Place from his earlier position as Director of Customer Service from Betson Distributing in Baltimore, Maryland, where he oversaw warehouse operations and handled all customer service for amusements and vending. He has served in Baltimore distribution since the days of State Sales and Service in 1992. Mr. Becker entered the industry in 1978, joining Atari in New Jersey office as a board-level technician under Atari's then President Gene Lipkin. He advanced to the position of Atari's National Service Field Manager, where he remained until 1985. He worked three years for Microprose, a video game simulator manufacturer, before joining State Sales. Prior to joining the amusements industry, Mr. Becker was an applications engineer at a laser diode company; and he later performed surgical laser training and repair.
