Australian news source The Sydney Morning Herald has shed light on a 'bitter gambling tax dispute' between NSW clubs and the State Goverment regarding the proposed new tax rules requiring the clubs to forfeit more of their profits. NSW clubs are uphappy with the new tax rates, despite the fact that their takings from poker machines last year increased by $114 million to a record $3.1 billion in twelve months.
