Namco-Bandai 'House of Fun' Set to Welcome International Audience
Namco-Bandai is preparing to bring its latest 'House of Fun' collection of games to a global audience when the European division takes up residence in its usual place (stand 910) at ATEI 2006. The concept, which encompasses a broad range of what the company describes as "a finely tuned amusement equipment for the 'fun retailing' sector," was first unveiled by UK distributor Brent Sales at October's Preview exhibition and has been widely received with overwhelming support by operators, according to the company's Sales & Commercial Director, John McKenzie. He said, "We spend a great deal to time, not to mention a good many air miles, sourcing and helping to develop the very best games to suit a broad spectrum of locations. Whilst player profiles vary from location to location, the common thread running throughout our customer base is fun retailing."
Namco-Bandai's ATEI 2006 portfolio will include prize and novelty vendors, pushers, cranes, redemption, video and sports-themed games from a number of blue chip manufacturers including Namco, Bandai, ICE, Raw Thrills, TPi and Tsunami Visual Entertainment, to name but a few. Being shown for the first time anywhere in the world and featuring graphics capabilities way beyond anything seen so far, Time Crisis 4 is the eagerly awaited sequel to Europe's most successful video shooting game. Other high profile Namco launches will include Bowl O Rama, a radical, retro-style 10-pin bowling game and Crow for Cash, a revolutionary novelty pusher. Also making a worldwide debut is a brand new bike simulator from Raw Thrills – the US video specialist behind The Fast and the Furious, which continues to dominate the video driving sector. The launch products line up amongst a myriad of new games including US-based TPi Games' prize merchandisers, Countdown and Match It! and Namco's innovative Casino Winner pusher, which has already begun to show sales figures reminiscent of its forebear, Pac-Man Ball. "When it comes to fun, we couldn't be more serious," John McKenzie said.
