The all singing, action packed, flipping fun machines return to Villa Park
One of the largest-ever collections of pinball machines of every size, age and theme will transform Villa Park's Holte Suite into a giant glittering arcade on the weekend of 22 and 23 July. Traditional machines and Nokia's latest N-Gage games including the highly rated "Mile High Pinball" will be side by side in a weekend spectacular to make any pinball wizard swoon. There will also be plenty of technical expertise on hand, as well as Arcade machines, Jukeboxes, Pool tables and stands offering parts, memorabilia and other collectibles.
Once primarily the domain of teenagers and arcade enthusiasts, pinball is now acknowledged as one of the best ways to sharpen reflexes and stretch the imagination. It's also thrilling action-packed and sociable entertainment for every age as well as a serious industry in its own right. Says organiser Nick Bennett of Pinballers Anonymous "Last year's show attracted hundreds of enthusiasts, from occasional players to real aficionados and this year we are expecting even bigger numbers."
In Kind Direct was founded by The Prince of Wales to distribute surplus goods from manufacturers and retailers to UK charities working at home and abroad. Since operations started in 1997, £50 million worth of goods from almost 650 companies has been channelled from landfill to over 3,600 charities, benefiting the community and the environment.
