Harry Levy to move upstairs at ATEI 2007
Harry Levy Amusements has agreed to move its stand to the new location upstairs at next year's ATEI. The decision comes after several meetings with the ATEI organiser Clarion and other BACTA members.
"To be honest, we still have reservations about the move," says sales director Gary Newman. "We received scores of letters from other amusement machine manufacturers complaining about the new plans for ATEI and we have thought long and hard about what we should do in this situation. But in the end, Clarion convinced us that they would do their utmost to make the show a success and we feel we owe it to our customers, our fellow exhibitors and the show itself to continue our support."
Responding to the announcement, Peter Rusbridge, CEO of Clarion ATE said: "The Show would not have been the same without Harry and I'm naturally delighted at the news. Moving forward, we will now be spending a great deal of time visiting our exhibitors in order to explain the massive communications and operational plans that we have in place to make the new floor plan a success. We have budgeted to invest an additional £400,000 on marketing, logistics, operations and staffing to ensure that ATEI and ICE remain two of the most important events in the calendar." He added: "I believe strongly that once the difficulties of the change are passed that the new floor plan will be good for the development of the shows and therefore good for our exhibitors and the thousands of international buyers who make the journey to London every year."
