AmEx 2007 - The 28th Irish Amusement & Gaming Trade Exhibition
Ireland's Coin-Op Expo - AmEx 2007 - The 28th Irish Amusement & Gaming Trade Exhibition, will be held at the Lynch Green Isle Hotel, Dublin on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 March 2007.
The free admission and free seminar programme that made AmEx 2006 so successful will continue in 2007. In addition to this, a series of trade association meetings will be held during the 2007 event.
2006 saw the introduction of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions)Bill, which proposes (in Part 5, Section 55 & 56) that the maximum stake in gaming machines be increased to 50 cent and the maximum prize be increased to EUR 30.
Now that the Bill has finally been introduced it is hoped that it will commence moving through the various stages at the earliest opportunity after the return from the summer recess on 27 September, with the possibility of it becoming law in late 2006 or early 2007.
AmEx 2006 exhibitors have until the end of August to confirm their requirements for 2007, after which all remaining space will be offered to new companies, some of whom are already on a waiting list. A number of existing exhibitors have also requested additional space.
